Become superheroes through dialogue about climate change on Dialogue Day!

dialogue about climate change

How to talk about sustainability with your team – and make it fun?

Climate change is happening. It’s an important topic for organisations and communities as they look to the future. But it’s not easy to know where to start when making climate adaptation action plans. Mapping potential impacts and challenges is important, but so is bringing the team together to exchange thoughts and experiences through dialogue about climate change. And if that can be fun, interactive, and engaging, all the better!

Dialogue Day creates an open, welcoming environment where your team can go beyond environmental awareness and connect the dots of climate action. Interested to discuss how to improve environmental sustainability in the workplace or in your community? Come have dialogue about climate change to inspire and support your team to become climate superheroes!

During Dialogue Day your team discusses questions such as:

  • How is climate change relevant for you and your organisation?
  • How can your team work together to adapt to the change?
  • How can your organisation innovate to stay ahead of climate change and competition?

Time to have dialogue about climate change!

The Dialogue Day is a perfect way to get your team talking about climate change awareness. It is a big and hot topic that can evoke many different types of emotions – anxiety, worry, innovation, hopefulness. Sit down with your team and  explore what really comes out when you let people voice their thoughts.

We work with groups of as few as 10 people, and up to 50 or more. Our experienced facilitators will guide you through a 2-3 hour tailored group discussion that goes beyond environmental awareness and gets you ready to make climate adaptation action plans.

How to talk about sustainability and climate change in a fun way

STEP 1 - Make it Personal

You start by exploring your own perceptions. How do participants experience climate change on a personal level? How do they deal with this?

STEP 2 - Share Your Experience

We divide the participants into smaller groups. Together you share your perceptions about climate change and all the thoughts and feelings that it brings up. This helps you identify how to be more sustainable at work – in a way that is inclusive of the needs of your team.

STEP 3 - Visualize together

In a joint creative visualization exercise, you get started with devising possible steps in tackling the shared challenges.  This lets your staff map out how to improve environmental sustainability in the workplace or community, inclusive of their needs.

STEP 4 - Our Organisation

You further expand the relationship between personal and organisational interests. How can participants help the organisation one step further? This exercise can kick off more tangible climate adaptation action plans at your organisation.

STEP 5 - And Now Forward

Dialogue about climate change is the necessary first step to get going with your climate adaptation action plans. To take this to the next level, you end the activity by discussing how to get started with this in practice. What do you commit yourselves to as a team and how are you going to make it happen?

What does this day of dialogue about climate change mean for our clients?

"Definitely motivated"

“Our staff enjoyed a fun and inspiring morning participating in the Dialogue Day. Because it was interactive and engaging colleagues could exchange their experiences to see how they would personally and in work environment address issues around climate change. In this way it becomes also a teambuilding event. We were definitely motivated to see what climate action we can do next!”

“Lighter heart”

“I had a very positive experience: the workshop was interactive, helping us to meet and talk to each other. My own feelings changed, and at the end my heart was lighter. I recommend anyone, from the people who have little awareness of climate change to the convinced fighter to attend.“
