What if instead of a concrete jungle we can enjoy exciting urban spaces in harmony with nature? Permaculture Day is the newest initiative by Day of Adaptation, which introduces permaculture and provides a space for the participants to envision changes in their own community.
Saturday 16 October
10 am – 2 pm
Location: SET, Ijburg, Amsterdam
What happens during a Permaculture Day?
We are joined by permaculturalists, who introduce permaculture and share their experiences and vision of the urban environment transforming with permaculture principles. We explore a community garden and see an example of such transformation. The activity is concluded by a fun exercise where each participant gets to express and share their personal reflections. Not to mention some coffee, tea and snacks makes it more enjoyable too.
What is permaculture?
Permaculture is a multidisciplinary life approach into designing and maintaining living environments sustainably with our surroundings. Through permaculture, practitioners strive towards creating balanced relationships for an equal and peaceful society.
